Ladies 2 Victorious in Battle with Bearsden
Clarkston Ladies Second Team, who were promoted last season to Division 1 / 2, played their first match last night and edged a worthy 5- 4 win against Bearsden. Playing were Judy, Susan, Lesley and Fiona MacKay, Mary and Lynn.
And a great way to welcome Fiona to Clarkston Tennis for her first match in her first season with us - building on the talent and experience which Susan, Judy and Jackie brought to the team in 2012 and led to promotion for Ladies 2. Players to watch out for in future matches are Jackie and Sandra.

Men's 4 Succumb to Strathgryffe
"It's all about bounce-back-ability," stated Mark McDermott in an inspiring rallying call in the post-match post-mortem. "My God he's right!!" we all thought to ourselves and redoubled our resolve for our next match.

Dear Member / Friends of Clarkston Bowling & Tennis Club
In June this year two of Clarkston Bowling & Tennis clubs stalwart members are getting on there bikes for the Prince and Princes of Wales Charity. They of course needing sponsorship but have come up with a novel way of giving something back to those who are willing to back their efforts for this worthwhile charity. If you are able they would be most grateful for any support.
What’s this all about?
On the 8th June Iain Coventry & Gregg McGeoch will attempt the 5 Ferries Cycle Challenge organised by ‘The Prince and Princes of Wales Hospice’. This is a serious challenge and for the past 6 months we have been knackering ourselves training on the local hills. By entering this challenge, both Gregg & Iain have agreed to raise at least £250 each for the Glasgow's Hospice and this is where we need your help.
So you are after Sponsorship?
Yes but with a difference.....You see rather than you giving money to a worthy cause for us to take the credit, each £5 you donate gives you a chance to win a prize money cannot buy..
Every £5 donated = 1 Entry to the ‘Win Gregg & Iain Competition’
What do we win?
Like the stuff above says... Gregg & iain for a Day. Provided it isn’t illegal (or will get us into trouble with our wives) we will offer the winner our graft for a day. Be it gardening / painting / Housework / DIY etc we will turn our hands to almost anything.
I’m in... How do we sponsor you for this great charity?
